The Invincible Iron Man Animated Movie DVD Review

In The Invincible Iron Man, Stark Enterprise setoff a series of events that paved the way for the return of a cruel Chinese ruler called the Mandarin. By raising an ancient city above ground, five elemental minions of the Mandarin were released to gather the rings needed to bring him back. Meanwhile, a secret organization called the Jade Dragons whose sole purpose was to prevent the Mandarin's return, waged a terror campaign against Stark Enterprise at the ancient city excavation. But one of the Jade Dragons carried a secret that was passed through years of heritage that held the key to the Mandarin's return.

The problem with this animated movie was that it failed to stage a convincing showdown between magic and technology. On one side, there was Tony Stark as Iron Man, a super hero forged from the marvels of technology, bearing weapons that were capable of mass destruction. On the other side, there was the Mandarin, an ancient king who ruled iron-handedly with magic seeking to come back from death using the mystic arts. What's missing in the movie was an actual battle between the two forces. After leading through the events that brought back the Mandarin, we got a fight that was summarily concluded ending as if the movie makers ran out of time.

Perhaps this movie may not be that important in the world of comic book movies, animated or live action. However, after Jon Favreau's announcement that the Mandarin will be the main villain in the upcoming Iron Man movie sequel, it will be natural for many curious fans of the movie franchise to rent, buy or borrow the animated Iron Man movie DVD because it involves the Mandarin. Sadly, they will be disappointed.

Iron Man - Christian Movie Review

A review of the movie, Iron Man from a Christian perspective.

Movie Title: Iron Man
Rating: PG-13
Director: Jon Favreau
Staring: Robert Downey Jr.; Jeff Bridges; Terrence Howard; and Gwyneth Paltrow
Category: Action

Christian Perspective Rating: 4 out of a possible 5 stars

Intro: Iron Man is a humorous action packed film based on the Marvel Comic, Iron Man.

Review: Tony Stark is the star player in this movie. He is a man with no real substance in his character. he is a womanizer, gambler and an ego maniac...until he encounters some reality in the form of a terrorist kidnapping. This is where he learns what is really going on and becomes iron man.

Iron Man is a very well made movie. There is a lot of comedy and lessons learned. Tony comes back from his horrifying experience with a change of heart and a new and better mission.

I was very impressed with this film and how there was minimal language and sexuality. However, not all of it was left out...

Cons: Tony Stark is a playboy. With that brings the usual not so modestly dressed women, some kissing, and a short bed scene. Nothing way out there or worth not seeing the film.

There is a lot of violence and death. However, that is what all action films have. The language was surprisingly low key. There were scatterings of he**, bi***, and da**. Nothing too bad. They kept it kid friendly.

I would steer clear of the deleted scenes. There are some VERY bad scenes in there and a LOT more sexual content. I am VERY happy they were left out of the film!

Conclusion: While there are some questionable scenes and the film is not perfect, I think Iron Man is a good film that shows a moral compass and willingness to change your heart and do the right thing. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the role of Tony Stark and I am looking forward to Iron Man 2.

If you let the credits roll, at the very end there is an opening for Iron Man 2.

A Review of the Iron Man Movie

I really like the Iron man super hero. He is like the ultimate creation by human technology. Even the newest military stealth fighters are no match for the hypersonic & virtually invincible flying suit of armor. Tony Stark has got all sorts of high tech weaponry in his Iron man suit like plasma rays & etc. Bound to survive by an advanced mechanical heart, Tony Stark becomes the Iron man to battle any form of terrorism which had caused him to lose his natural heart in the first place.

I thought I would shed some light on the origin of the Iron Man character played by Robert Downey Junior in the movie Iron man . Anthony "Tony" Stark was born on Long Island, New York which obviously made him a citizen of the United States. He is a genius inventor & the son of industrialist, Howard Stark. Tony Stark enrolled in college electrical engineering program at MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) at age 15. With his father & mother being deceased, his only known relative is Morgan, his cousin.

Tony Stark then inherited his father's business, Stark Industries at age 21 & made it into a multi million-dollar company after a few years whose chief contracts were weaponry & munitions for the U.S. government. Iron man s first appearance was in the comic Tales of Suspense #39. The movie by Paramount Pictures & Marvel Enterntainment released 2008 next year is different than the original comic book regarding the location where the first Iron man was built (Vietnam) in order to reflect contemporary world issues. I reckon it is a good idea because viewers are able to relate to the present reality & make the Iron man movie more realistic.

Iron man does a sonic boom! Robert Downey Junior suits up to be the first Iron man in the movies. Samuel L. Jackson as an African American version of Nick Fury may not be such a bad idea after all. I mean he is the Samuel L. Jackson who does federal characters extremely well. I mean Iron man is about Robert Downey Junior. He is good at comedies & drama but as an action hero, we will have to wait & see. Also in the foray are the sweet Gwyneth Paltrow & Jim Rhodes which makes the Iron man movie an anticipated star studded blockbuster film next year.

The Iron man armor worn by Robert Downey Junior looks more realistic than the comic book version. In the Iron man movie, the armor looks like a full body casing with advanced hinges at the joints, rivets & the works. The armor of Iron man in the comics looks as though it is a shiny layer of metallic cloth donned over human muscle. A state of the art, magnetic molecular metal binding technology that makes the armor looks like cloth seems to far fetched idea at present. It is good that the costume designers had a more realistic looking suit of armor specially made for the Iron man movie.
